We are still waiting for a similar overhaul for the railing tools.  In the meantime, we have to live without - so here are some stairs with no railings:

Temporally Replicate a View

There is always something new to learn in Revit. I just found a very helpful tool for working big sections or elevations.

The challenge – Open a really long building section. Constantly zooming in and out and panning just to compare what is at the other end of the section. It is a huge waste of time.

Now you can just create a Multiple Temporary duplicate view of the section and work on all of them at once.

First - Open a Section

Capture

Second – Type WT (Window Tiled)

You may want to close down any extra views you have open.

Third – Go to the View > Windows Tab and select “Replicate”

You should now have a temporary duplicate view.

Capture2

Last - Type “WT” again and start working.

Your work will show up on both views

Capture3

Close extra view when you are done.
